Last Summer week after week went by and while the other clubs bought and bought players all we seemed to do was sell, sell, sell and buy a reserve goalie. But then quietly we picked up Sagna, Eduardo and finally Diarra. The point is it didn't seem like much at all. And the papers doomed us to fifth spot at best. But Sagna and Eduardo for me have been two of AW's best ever signings and Diarra could have been easily. Can you imagine what it'll be like this summer, with Euro2008 as a huge shop window and papers having nothing to write about England etc.?? How many times will Cesc be taken out for an ice cream, I wonder? Of course the papers take a special delight in imagining our squad coming to pieces at the seams - where would the stories be if all managers were as parsimonious with cash and drama as AW? So the moral is don't take any of these rumour-mongers seriously, it's not even worth commenting upon, until the ink is dry on the paper and the player is either out the door, or photographed with a red&white shirt on his back. "In Arsene we trust".

Don't be so negative!! Have faith, we have a team which came very very close this season.
I think if Wenger adds a goalie (which he wont, Almunia has signed an extension - you listening Flamini, Fabianski will play the rest of the games this season which should put him in at number two next season) a big ugly c*nt of a defender, a winger and maybe a striker to cover for Eduardo and the glass boy van Persie.

Keep the faith

I cant see us competing for the league next season at this rate. We have to keep what we've got first of all, which is not 100% yet and buy three or four players to compliment the team, with all of £25m!! I've got confidence in the team but the manc's won the league last season and spent £50m - not saying we should spend that amount, not that we have it anyway, but how are we going to compete? Liverpool and chelski will improve on the players they have, Although given the troubles at Liverpool no one knows what is going to happen with them. I just hope we don't get left behind.

see you were doing ok till you mentioned that it wud be ok if Hleb could go...But he does alot for this team both offensively and defensively..Assists, driving the ball foward(cept him and Rosicky we seem to have none else maybe if clichy and sagna take it upon themselves to go on those amazing runs leaving us exposed at the back, cant always depend on Fabulous' range of passing) or back to the point Hleb brings alot to the table and it would be criminal to let him go coz he has settledand playing better other than having another hleb who promises more goals but remember that particular Hleb substitute will have to settle first in the team...I am for Wenger saying secure our guys 1st and then go buy if u must
